
The Taif Golf Society has been
created to bring together the golfing community of Taif.
The aims of the Taif Golf Society are as follow:
1. Arrange golfing and social events for
the Taif golfing community.
2. Enhance communications to allow Taif golfers
to arrange rounds with other members.
3. Allow Taif Golfers to obtain society handicaps.
4. Provide competitive golf, in a friendly manner.
5. Encourage enjoyable golf for golfers of all levels.
The nominated home course for the Taif Golf Society
will be Royal Greens at King Abdullah Economic City.
Society positions have been appointed for our inaugural year.
These positions will be voted for at the annual society AGM.
Chairman - Russ Abbot
The Chairman is responsible for the overall management
of the society, and its members, ensuring all
society aims are achieved and maintained throughout the year.
Golf Captain - Bart McCarthy
The Golf Captain is responsible for all golfing matters.
They will be a positive role model for members, ensuring all
members conduct themselves with integrity, sportsmanship
and professionalism.
Treasurer/Secretary - Chris Evans
The Treasurer/Secretary is responsible for managing
society funds and administrative matters.
Handicap Secretary - Adam O'Hare
The Handicap Secretary is responsible for managing
society handicaps and accurate recording of round data.
Entertainment Secretary - Adam Lillis
The Entertainment Secretary is responsible for organising
golfing and social events throughout the year.
Annual fees for the Taif Golf Society will be 500 SAR.
Membership fees will be paid in full within 14 days of registration.
Society membership benefits are as follow:
1. Society golf shirt and baseball cap.
2. Society Membership Card.
3. Entry into annual competitions (Green Fees not included).
4. Free access to society social events.
5. Access to Taif Golf Society internet site.
6. Up to date communications in our WhatsApp group.
Members will be asked to provide an initial
handicap during the registration process.
This handicap will need to be proven,
otherwise default will be 28.
The maximum allowed handicap in the Taif Golf Society will be 54.
Only scorecards from the Society home course
will be eligible for submission.
Members will submit a minimum of 3 scorecards per year to maintain
society handicap for the following year.
Scorecards must be countersigned for submission.
Scorecards can be submitted to the Handicap Secretary
or submitted on the society website.
Annual Events
The society aim to arrange 3 annual competitions.
1. Meet and Greet Texas Scramble.
2. Pairs and Individual Stableford.
3. Matchplay Society Championship.
Sim Events
The society aim to arrange 2 annual Sim tournaments.
Social Events
The society aim to arrange 2 annual social events.
1. Summer BBQ with Sim Games
2. End of season awards and meal.
Overseas Trip
The society aim to organise an overseas golfing trip.
This trip will be self-funded by members.
The Taif Golf Society is a seperate entity
to the Golf Simulator and the ISGC competition.
Any queries in reference to the Golf Sim or ISGC competition
should be directed through the normal methods.
